Currently in a phase of consolidation and development, the company is looking to welcome a Co-Executive & Administrative Director who will contribute to its influence, stability, and evolution.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the Board of Directors and in Co-Executive Direction with the Artistic Director, the person in the position of Co-Executive & Administrative Director will be responsible for stabilizing, structuring, and supporting the growth of Satellite Théâtre, while ensuring sound governance and the financial, administrative, and organizational development of the entire company.
The incumbent will also play a key role in supporting the artistic mission and amplifying the community engagement of Satellite Théâtre, an important player in the cultural and social vitality of Moncton and the Francophone minority community in New Brunswick.
TASKS SUMMARY
Executive Direction Role & Responsibilities
Fully understand and endorse the company's mission (DNA) and strategic plan in order to foster close collaboration with the artistic director.
Actively participate in organizational life, collective discussions, and strategic decisions.
Ensure consistency between artistic values and organizational management. Organizational values highlighted during the last strategic planning session: boldness, kindness, a sense of encounter, integrity, humility.
Manage human resources in collaboration with the artistic director: recruitment, supervision, internal policies, work environment.
Develop and maintain key partnerships (institutional, community, private).
Maintain strong relationships with public and private funders.
Represent the company at various professional networks, forums, and events.
Support relations with the board of directors: planning meetings, preparing documents, following up on decisions.
Ensure compliance with the laws to which Satellite Théâtre is subject.
Administrative Direction Role & Responsibilities
Develop annual budgets in collaboration with the Artistic Director. Ensure follow-up and accounting.
Ensure administrative and accounting management (review of tools, structuring of processes, payroll and banking activities).
Draft and coordinate grant applications, reports, and financial statements in collaboration with the artistic director.
Manage contracts, agreements, and administrative relations with artists and collaborators, as well as purchasing agreements with suppliers.
Participate in the search for diversified funding (sponsorships, donations, philanthropy) and actively support the structuring of the ongoing private fundraising campaign.
Support the team in production logistics, distribution, and work organization.
Support the development of internal policies and governance practices.
Represent the company to organizations and unions with which it does business or of which it is a member: Association des compagnies de théâtre (ACT), Union des artistes (UDA),

DESIRED PROFILE
Education and experience
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (administration, project management, or related discipline)
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in coordination or management, ideally in the arts, culture, or non-profit community sector
Experience in consolidating growing organizations
Proficiency in budget and financial management.
Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams.

Proven experience in writing major grant applications.
Human resources management (hiring, contracts, HR policies).
Knowledge of accounting and tax obligations inherent to a non-profit arts organization.
Assets
Experience or keen interest in private/philanthropic funding (significant asset).
Knowledge of Google Drive is an asset Knowledge of Quickbooks accounting software and Wagepoint accounting software.
Experience working in a minority or multilingual context.
Experience in community development, institutional partnerships, and community mobilization.
Own a car and have a valid driver's license.
WORKING CONDITIONS

One-year contract (renewable).
Salary of $55,000 to $65,000 depending on experience, for approximately 35 hours of work per week.
The company works normal business hours from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., except during production or special events.
Six weeks of annual vacation, including two during the holiday season.

Hybrid work arrangements possible in the medium term (regular presence in Moncton required).
